Excellent game. As you probably know, it's basically a top-down version of Terraria or Minecraft, but in my opinion vastly superior to both. Minecraft has hideous visuals, while Core Keeper is beautiful to look at. Terraria has the infuriating issue of being CONSTANTLY bombarded by enemy attacks, always preventing you from doing what you are trying to do. The Basic Workbench gives you access to a bunch of important items for setting up your base. Here are the key items you'll need in your first couple of hours:

I think the biggest praise I can give to the game is that I cannot wait to dig into it with a few friends over the coming weeks. It's the kind of game you can slowly chip Core Keeper Gameplay away at over several evenings and the hardcore mode even offers some replayability down the line.

Spirit Merchant (technically traded). Each of these marks the exact location of an outer biome boss spawn. Each scanner recipe uses a resource unique to the boss's biome. Either found on the ground or as a mob drop.

Copper Hoe tills the ground for planting seeds, to begin gardening. Hoes are also effective for lifting ground covering tiles and harvesting plants.

Roots pelo longer continue spawning in explored areas in the crystal biome. Environmental objects will no longer continue to spawn right next to the world edge. Fixed an issue where objects would not be rendered after the player was killed by a hydra boss.
